Arcadion's EspioLabs Team is expanding its digital commerce capabilities and seeking an experienced Shopify Contractor to support the design, deployment, customization, and integration of complex Shopify stores. This is a contract-based role (project-by-project or retainer) ideal for a highly skilled Shopify specialist who thrives in fast-moving environments and can translate business objectives into seamless, high-performing eCommerce experiences.
About the Role
As a Shopify Experience Specialist, you will work closely with Arcadion’s leadership, marketing teams, and technical teams to build and optimize Shopify environments that support digital product sales, subscriptions, licensing workflows, and automated service delivery.
This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with the Shopify ecosystem—including theming, Liquid, custom apps, APIs, webhooks, third-party integrations, and automation platforms.
This is not a full-time employment position. It is a contract role, expected to support short-term and ongoing digital commerce initiatives.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Designing, deploying, and customizing advanced Shopify storefronts based on brand and technical requirements.
Implementing subscription models, recurring digital products, and software/service licensing workflows.
Integrating third-party platforms such as CRM systems, payment gateways, fulfillment systems, membership tools, and MSP-related service platforms.
Working with Shopify Liquid, JSON templates, metafields, UI extensions, and theme optimization.
Enhancing store UX/UI for performance, accessibility, and conversion optimization.
Building automation workflows (Shopify Flow, API calls, webhook integrations, etc.).
Troubleshooting issues related to checkout, apps, themes, data syncing, and performance.
Collaborating with Arcadion, Cylix, and EspioLabs teams to align eCommerce capabilities with digital transformation initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of direct experience building and supporting Shopify stores.
Strong Liquid development skills and an eye for premium front-end design.
Proven experience with complex Shopify setups—B2B, multi-store, multi-currency, or subscription-based environments.
Expertise with Shopify Apps, API integrations, automation tools, and custom app development.
Familiarity with digital product delivery, SaaS integrations, or service-based product catalogues.
Experience with Figma or comparable design tools (optional but beneficial).
Strong communication, documentation, and project-based delivery skills.
Nice-to-Have
Experience working with MSPs, SaaS products, or cybersecurity/AI services.
Understanding of digital licensing workflows (CrowdStrike, Acronis, Microsoft, etc.).
Ability to advise on eCommerce strategy, SEO, and conversion best practices.

Engagement may include a combination of fixed-scope projects, ongoing site enhancements, and retainer-based support.
Remote work with preferred availability during North American time zones.
