Shopify Fullstack Developer

At Mindera we build websites and mobile apps for some of the world's most prestigious brands and businesses. We are looking for a down to earth, senior engineer with ecommerce experience using shopify to play a lead role in our new Vietnam Team. Mindera are 1200 people spread over a dozen countries and we are looking to set up a team in Vietnam to support the growth of our Australia Enterprise clients (1$bn+ retailers) as well as build a specialism in small to medium ($5mil to $100mil+ retailers) ecommerce implementations around the world (often Europe).

Mindera is a reasonably flat organisation with very little hierarchy. We encourage self organisation and our people tend to reject fixed job titles. You can read more about our ways of working in our handbook.

Requirements:
• 5+ years working in a software engineering environment
• Experience with Shopify and its APIs 3+ years
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.JS.
• Experience working with GraphQL and RESTful API’s.
• Experience in working with HTML, CSS, & JS frameworks like React, Vue, Tailwind, etc.
• Git / Continuous Deployment Scripting
• Fluent English
• Communicates well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively and bring issues and suggestions to the table.

Bonus points for:

• Experience facilitating discussions about software architecture.
• Experience with headless shopify implementations
• Knowledge of AWS platforms, technology and architecture.
• Experience with open source frameworks like Vercel or Hydrogen & Oxygen
• Experience using serverless technology like AWS lambda
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security, e.g. authentication, authorization, etc.
• Solid foundation in writing automated tests to ensure reliability and quality of code.

• Helping hire new engineers in Vietnam
• Building ecommerce experiences on shopify sometimes using themes and sometimes headlessly Helping upskill engineers around the world
• Interacting with clients to help them make the right choices in the set up of their ecommerce site
• Collaborate with technologists around the world to solve problems
