Shopify E-Commerce Developer (f/m/d) 
Employment: Full-time 40 hours, flexible working hours
Direct supervisor: Group Director DTC
Team: DTC - Webshop
Location: Düsseldorf (NRW), Hamburg (HH), Remote (Germany)

Your mission:
We are looking for a Shopify E-Commerce Developer (m/f/d) to strengthen our growing D2C team in the nutrition & supplements industry. 
You will be responsible for building, optimizing and scaling our Shopify Plus stores across multiple European markets.
• You develop, customize and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• You build reusable, modular sections, templates and components to support scalable store growth
• You optimize shop performance with a strong focus on conversion rate, average order value (AOV), loading speed and a frictionless customer journey to achieve sales targets
• You integrate and customize Shopify apps, APIs, payment providers and marketing tools to enable flexibility and continuous improvement
• You collaborate closely with UX, Webshop, Marketing and Brand teams
• You ensure high code quality through testing, debugging and clear documentation
• You coordinate with our external Shopify development agency on larger features and ensure code compatibility
• You support international rollouts as well as multi-language and multi-market setups

Your profile:
Technical Skills• You have strong experience with Shopify and Liquid
• You bring very good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ES6+)
• You have experience with Shopify Plus and Shopify CLI or Theme Kit
• You are confident working with Git, GitHub and modern development workflows
• You have experience integrating APIs (REST / GraphQL)
• Debugging, testing and performance optimization of Shopify themes are part of your daily work
• You have a solid understanding of responsive design and UX best practices, following a mobile-first approach

Nice to have• Experience with Headless Shopify, Hydrogen or React
• Knowledge of Shopify Functions or Checkout Extensions
• Background in performance marketing

Experience & Mindset• You have 2–5+ years of experience as a Shopify or e-commerce developer
• You work in a hands-on, structured and solution-oriented way
• You bring strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
• You feel comfortable working in a fast-growing, international D2C environment
