Shop Labourer

Position Summary

The General Labourer is responsible for general labour tasks in production. This position is best suited to very versatile people that know their way around equipment and most hand tools, can read metric and imperial tape measures, are self-starters with a can-do attitude. Must be physically fit, as the job requires many different areas to work in, and some require moving material.

Responsibilities

General shop labour
Sanding, washing, moving material with forklift
Regularly lift 50lbs
Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Experience in the manufacturing industry considered an asset

Key Competencies

Must be able to read blueprints
Must be able to read and utilize metric and imperial measurements
Attention to detail and good hand eye coordination is key
Physically fit; able to handle weights up to 23 kgs (50lbs), standing for extended periods
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Document use and numeracy
Strong team working skills
Reliable and honest
