As a Shipping & Receiving Team Lead, you work closely with the Warehouse Manager to oversee the Shipping & Receiving team. As a lead, you are responsible for ensuring your team is trained correctly on all equipment and company-specific processes. You act as the last line of defense for the Shipping team when checking order quantity and quality. You also verify incoming shipments and maintain inventory. A successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, interest in a leadership role, and is comfortable working with computers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Shipping and Receiving Team Lead performs range of duties including but not limited to the following:
Delegate orders and tasks to the Shipping & Receiving team; let each team member know their work duties for the day
Oversee team breaks and lunches to optimize efficiency
Maintain item inventory and let the Warehouse Manager know if more products need to be ordered or manufactured
Work closely with Packaging department to ensure timely shipment of customer orders
Work with Warehouse Manager on recruitment and onboarding of new employees; oversee training for Shipping & Receiving Team
Prepare materials to be shipped as directed by customer orders
Reviews orders for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy and quality
Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods to and from warehouse inventory (manually and/or using hand trucks)
Troubleshoots inventory issues; escalates to Warehouse Manager
Trains employees on the proper uses and operation of machines
Inputs, checks, and approves orders through computer system as necessary; maintains records as needed
Assists with the creation of lit packs, promotional shipments, or other shipments as needed
Maintains a safe and clean work environment for the entire Team
Participates in the company Safety Committee as needed
Participates and assists with Warehouse Inventory as necessary
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma preferred
Previous shipping experience required
2 - 3 years of warehouse and leadership experience preferred
Effective communicator, both written and verbally; understands basic English
Ability to meet production goals/deadlines
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks or projects
Must be able to work efficiently individually and as part of a team
Ability to troubleshoot or problem-solve
Excellent attention to detail
The Details
Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Team Lead
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Shift/Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday; 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Location: In Office (Not eligible for remote work)
Pay Range: $23.50 - $25.00 / Hour DOE
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or sit for long periods
Ability to move around the warehouse and operate heavy machinery as needed
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Working Conditions
Warehouse environment with fluorescent lighting
Regular interruptions and moderate noise levels
