We are looking for an outgoing, detail-oriented, full-time Carpenter to operate our Shipping and Receiving Department.

Position Overview
As our Shipping & Receiving / Crating Carpenter, you are the final point of contact for every sign that leaves our facility. You will be responsible for ensuring all finished products are properly inspected, packaged, and secured for shipment. This role requires adaptability, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail, as daily tasks may vary.
Your workmanship and judgment are critical to ensuring our products arrive safely and on time.
Duties & Expectations
Skilled woodworking, including cutting, assembling, and building custom crates for sign shipments
Banding skids, shrink wrapping, labeling, and preparing finished projects for transport
Conducting final inspections of products prior to shipment
Assisting with trailer loading, securing loads, and logistics coordination
Performing yard maintenance, including:
Snow removal
Grass cutting
Yard leveling and general outdoor upkeep
Assisting with waste management and general shop labour as required
Working overtime as needed to meet production and shipping deadlines
Consistently demonstrating strong safety practices
Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs
Managing time effectively to support on-time delivery of all projects
Operating equipment such as skid steer, telehandler, and forklift
Driving company vehicles and towing trailers when required
Qualifications
Journeyman Carpenter preferred
Telehandler Certification
Skid Steer Certification
Scissor Lift Certification
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence, clean abstract, and reliable transportation
Experience driving a 1-ton truck and towing trailers is an asset
Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, flexible, and safety-minded
Schedule & Compensation
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Overtime as required
Starting wage: $24–$32/hour, depending on experience
