The purpose of this role is to respond to the company’s emergency and non-emergency calls, maintaining and updating call logs, monitoring routes, transferring messages, directing field units, and working with the Logistics department.
Responsibilities
Schedule, assign, and dispatch driver for delivery, pickup, or disposal.
Validate material/equipment and order picklist availability.
Ensure warehouse is organized to support receiving, storing, and shipments of product.
Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and document important information.
Maintain and update call logs, call records, and other important documentation.
Prioritize and organize calls according to urgency.
Respond to any customer issues and follow-up by coordinating with the appropriate departments or field units.
Operate and manage a telephone and answering machine system.
Respond to queries related to products and deliveries.
Use the phone and computer to direct crews and other field units to the appropriate sites.
Supervise the route and status of field units to prioritize their daily schedule.
Identify damaged, obsolete, or excess products/equipment/tools and arrange for disposal or sale.
Lead and provide year end physical inventory count.
Ensure material/equipment/tools have been processed and recorded prior to leaving warehouse.
Assist in audits for equipment/tools.
Ensure tasks conducted by drivers and yard men are completed with Health & Safety at the forefront of all activities.
Process material purchase orders in system.
Verify the delivery of materials entering the warehouse and matching the PO.
Phone sales, recommending products to customers based on their needs.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required
A minimum of 2 years experience in a dispatch role
Disposal experience is an asset
Ability to identify issues and participate in resolution of issues with standardization, cost reductions, and analyzing processes and procedures
Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate daily routines in the organization and processes for product receiving, storing and shipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills, efficiency in all MS Office applications, experience in data entry
Ability to work well under pressure

Compensation
Salary Range: $50,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
Benefits: Comprehensive health and dental coverage, paid vacation, 3 paid sick days
