Are you a highly organized and efficient individual with acute attention to detail? Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take pride in ensuring products reach their destination safely? We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Packer to join our team at a pay rate of $15.00/hour. You'll be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires frequent communication of part information with team members and other members of production.

Responsibilities:

Count, measure, and/or weigh product to verify contents of shipments against bills of lading or invoices for shipping.

Attach identification data to parts/components and record data for nonconforming material to be returned to suppliers.

Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.

Perform quality checks on packed items for proper sealing, labeling, and overall readiness for shipment.

Perform basic data entry relevant to shipping.

Load and unload shipments; assist with loading packed boxes onto trucks or other transportation vehicles, and unloading incoming materials as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the shipping zone is tidy, safe, and efficient.

Operate equipment safely, including pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified).

Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and handling of hazardous materials (if applicable).

Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or issues with orders to supervisors promptly.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.

Acute attention to detail is required for accurate order fulfillment and documentation.

Ability to read and interpret packing slips, orders, and shipping labels.

Requires lifting parts and boxes weighing up to 50lbs. regularly.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, especially for collaborating with team members.

Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their requirements (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS) is a plus.

Forklift certification is a plus (if applicable to the role).
