At Fresh Prints, our shipping team plays a critical role in ensuring thousands of orders move smoothly from suppliers to printers to clients around the world. As we expand internationally, customs and cross-border logistics are becoming a major area of focus. We are looking for a Shipping & Customs Lead who can not only oversee daily shipping operations but also build reliable systems for International and domestic shipping, including customs clearance management.

We’re looking for an organized individual with attention to detail, who will be instrumental in ensuring that we find both cost-effective and relevant shipping solutions that enable us to deliver orders to our clients within timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Customs & International Shipping (Main Focus)

• Own the end-to-end customs process for international orders, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely clearances.

• Develop robust systems for customs quoting, documentation, and duty/tax management.

• Partner with leadership to define and refine Fresh Prints’ international shipping and customs framework.

• Standardize processes for intake of international shipping requests (unit weight, quantity, HS codes, box count, etc.).

• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on customs classifications, exemptions, and international shipping best practices.

• Collaborate with external customs brokers and logistics partners to strengthen compliance and accuracy.

• Conduct regular audits of past shipments to improve data accuracy and predictability for future quotes.

Shipping Operations & Cost Recovery

• Manage relationships with carrier reps (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL) to resolve issues, negotiate terms, and identify the best solutions for our business.

• Track and analyze shipping performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.

• Implement initiatives that improve cost efficiency and service reliability across domestic and international shipments.

• Oversee refund recovery processes and ensure performance guarantees from carriers are being effectively tracked and claimed.

• Coordinate with suppliers to manage returns and ensure all associated credits are processed accurately.

Process Building & Leadership

• Create and maintain SOPs for shipping and customs workflows.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure smooth order flow and accurate cost management.

• Lead special projects focused on logistics optimization and customs management.

• Anticipate and mitigate risks in shipping and customs processes by designing scalable preventive solutions.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in shipping operations with strong hands-on exposure to international logistics and customs clearance processes.

• Expertise in international duty structures, HS codes, and customs clearance.

• At least 1 year of experience managing a team of direct reports.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and email).

• Comfortable working with carriers, brokers, and logistics vendors.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.

Job Location: Work From Home / Remote

Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (US Timings), Monday to Friday

CTC: between $1000 to $1500 base monthly salary (depending on experience)
