Scope of the Role
The Shipping Clerk / Logistics Coordinator supports the Operations and Supply Chain teams by managing the inbound and outbound flow of shipments across warehouses, distribution partners, and logistics providers.
This role ensures shipments are processed accurately, dispatched on time, and properly documented across logistics systems. The position plays a key role in maintaining shipment visibility, supporting operational reporting, and ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and external partners.
This role also offers growth opportunities into broader supply chain functions, including chargeback management, trade spend coordination, and logistics optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination
• Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments across warehouses, 3PL partners, and distribution networks.
• Ensure shipments are processed, documented, and dispatched on schedule.
• Track shipment status and proactively resolve delivery delays, exceptions, or logistics discrepancies.
Logistics Documentation & Tracking
• Maintain accurate records of shipping documentation, shipment tracking, and inventory movements.
• Ensure shipping data is properly recorded across logistics systems and spreadsheets.
• Assist with shipment reconciliation and issue resolution.
Cross-Functional Communication
• Communicate regularly with internal teams, warehouses, and logistics partners regarding shipment status and updates.
• Escalate operational issues that may impact delivery timelines or fulfillment accuracy.
Operations Support
• Support the Director of Merchandise Planning or Senior Manager of Supply Chain Operations with operational reporting and shipment visibility.
• Assist with data gathering and reporting related to shipping performance and operational metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and operational processes.
Growth & Development Opportunities
As the business scales, this role may expand into additional supply chain responsibilities such as:
• Supporting chargeback management processes
• Assisting with trade spend tracking and reporting
• Participating in logistics optimization and process improvement initiatives
• Supporting broader supply chain operations and reporting
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain, or operations coordination
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Experience managing shipment documentation and tracking logistics processes
• Ability to work cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and merchandising teams
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and logistics tracking systems
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within retail, wholesale, or e-commerce supply chains
• Familiarity with chargeback processes
• Exposure to trade spend tracking or vendor operations
• Experience working with 3PLs or distribution partners
