We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Shipping Administrator to join our Supply Chain team in Hemel Hempstead on a 12‑month fixed term contract. This is a great opportunity to play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across our global operations. You will work as part of a close-knit team, coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and supporting the delivery of critical equipment to customers worldwide.  This role office based 5 days a week.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where attention to detail, strong communication and a solutions-focused mindset are essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Acting as a key point of contact for delivery queries, supporting both internal teams and customers
• Coordinating import and export shipments across air and road freight
• Preparing shipping and customs documentation, including export-controlled goods
• Supporting customs clearance processes for UK imports
• Tracking shipments and resolving any delays or issues proactively
• Working closely with freight providers to manage timelines and optimise costs
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting general administrative activities
What You’ll Be Doing

What You’ll Bring
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or import/export administration
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders, including external suppliers
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work independently
Technical skills:
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience using courier platforms such as DHL, FedEx, UPS or TNT
• Knowledge of customs processes and documentation
• SAP experience is beneficial, but not essential
