Overall Responsibility: The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that staff members are present for the shift and that all operations are carried out safely and on time. Shift Supervisor to oversee operations and assign tasks to staff relating to loading, Transfers and Picking. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for enforcing health and safety regulations and ensuring that products meet the company's standards. Comply with and HACCP or IS022000 requirements "
Focus Area 1
Shift Supervisor
Supervise staff to ensure that tasks are completed on time and according to safety laws
Loading, unloading, and receiving warehouse items
Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency
Securing loads to before transportation
Inspecting for damages to vehicles
Operating and managing technical equipment
Managing inventory by placement of inventory as per procedures
Picking and wrapping orders for shipment
Identifying workplace safety hazards
Adhering to production schedules
Open up or close the warehouse at the start and end of the day

Health and Safety
Comply with and HACCP or IS022000 requirements
Apply basic hygiene and sanitation and adhere to food safety related rules and activities as per factory instructions
Perform Food Safety and Quality related activities as part of the FSMS and QC functions
Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations
Adhering to safety management standards

Leadership, People Management and Development
Support and entrench the company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance
Inspire and motivate the broader SHP team (not just your direct reports) to deliver on goals and maximize individual and the overall company performance
Provide overside and direction to your team
Recruit, development and performance management of your direct reports
Requirements of the Role
Matric Certificate
Minimum NQF Level 6 qualification
Valid Forklift License
Previous experience as a Warehouse or Operations Supervisor, or in a similar management role
Preferred Skills/Competencies
Attention to detail, Good written and verbal communication
Mathematical aptitude
