Summary

Aspasia Coffee and Bake Shop is looking for a Shift Lead who wants to lead a team and to also have fun!  This position contributes to Aspasia Coffee and Bake Shop by performing as the shift leader providing managerial support when the Store Manager or other business leaders are not available on-site. You will lead a team, ensure that customers receive exceptional service, and ensure that the establishment maintains high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Additionally, you will be involved in the preparation and serving of Aspasia Coffee and Bake Shop Products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and motivate team members

Provide guidance and support to team members

Ensure that all team members adhere to company policies and procedures

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment

Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner

Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly

Prepare food and ensure quality and consistency in all products

Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed

Oversee the cleanliness of the bake shop

Manage cash handling procedures and perform opening and closing duties

Resolve problems with customers

Document issues to report back to upper management

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with health codes

Monitor and enforce proper food handling procedures

Transport product from the production kitchen to the retail store

Qualification 

Previous experience in a quick service setting / kitchen

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Outstanding leadership skills

Exceptional organization and time management skills

Strong customer service skills

Basic math skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively

Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations

Supervision

The employee performs work under the supervision of the General Manager.

Work environment and Physical Demands

 Work with hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment

May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand

The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
