We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Coordinator to provide leadership to our Recovery Support team, ensure safety and compliance, and contribute to the success of our residents’ recovery journey.
Position Overview
The Shift Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for Recovery Support staff, ensuring operations run smoothly and individuals are supported in a safe and professional environment. This role requires strong leadership, documentation, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to modeling positive behavior and maintaining compliance with program standards.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as first point of contact for Recovery Support Specialists during shifts.
Manage operational documents (shift reports, incident reports, UA logs, weekly call logs, monthly reports).
Communicate shift tasks and expectations to Recovery Support Specialists.
Participate in disciplinary investigations involving staff or individuals.
Assist with admissions, discharges, transports, and orientation of individuals.
Conduct facility, room, and locker searches as required.
Oversee safety, security, and scheduled counts of individuals.
Observe medication pass and maintain accurate documentation.
Track Behavioral Management System (4:1 ratio) and send weekly updates.
Provide training, coaching, and support to new operations staff.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate transports and program needs.
Maintain facility cleanliness and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Maintain professional and positive rapport with all individuals.
Participate in pre/post-shift debriefings and weekly team meetings.
Qualifications
Required: Active CDCA Certification (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant).
Preferred: Associate’s degree in a related field or 3+ years of management experience.
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Valid driver’s license required.
