About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and committed SHEQ Advisor to support projects across minor works and repairs within the social housing sector in the South London and South Thames region.
Working across both United Infrastructure and PiLON, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards across live sites.
You will work closely with the SHEQ Manager, operational teams, and site staff to ensure compliance, promote best practices, and embed a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.
*This is a field-based role, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture aligned with a “Zero Harm” approach
Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements
Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and safety tours
Complete SHEQ reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), including incidents and KPIs
Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ systems and documentation
Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts, and briefings to site teams
Monitor and analyse SHEQ data to identify trends and improvements
Maintain systems such as ECO-online and document control platforms
Encourage reporting of hazards, near misses, and incidents
Support and guide site teams and SHEQ coordinators
Attend SHEQ meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum)
Experience within social housing, maintenance, or minor works projects
Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and best practices
Experience with audits, reporting, and compliance systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; SHEQ systems desirable)
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
TechIOSH membership
CSCS card
First Aid / Fire Marshal training
Asbestos Awareness
