Lead and grow Fugro’s Geophysical & Geotechnical business in Norway
Fugro is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Service Line Manager for Norway to take full ownership of our Geophysical & Geotechnical portfolio in Norway. This is a key leadership role, where you will shape direction, growth and culture in a high‑performing environment.
The Role
As Service Line Manager, you hold overall responsibility for the performance and development of the Geophysical & Geotechnical Service Line in Norway. You will lead the service line in alignment with Fugro’s local and global strategies, working closely with the Regional Service Line Director and regional/global service line leadership. The role combines strategic business development with strong operational leadership and includes active participation in the regional service line management team.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the Geophysical & Geotechnical Service Line in Norway with P&L accountability, contributing to the overall P&L across the Europe & Africa region
• Strengthen and grow Fugro’s position in the Norwegian offshore geophysical and geotechnical (Marine Site Characterisation) market
• Build and develop key accounts and strong client relationships and convert into solid orderbook
• Develop and execute short‑ to mid‑term strategy in close collaboration with the Norway leadership team and Regional Directors, aligned with global objectives
• Lead the Norway based MSC staff across several departments and ensure strong in-office engagement whilst operating in a regional and global organisation
• Drive sales and business development from lead to contract (tenders/negotiations), with pricing strategies that secure healthy margins
• Ensure robust contract and risk management to avoid unacceptable risk, liquidated damages and commercial leakages
• Deliver safe, efficient projects on time, budget and quality; optimise resource utilisation, digital development and continuous improvement based on client feedback
• Demonstrate visible QHSSE leadership and ensure compliance with Fugro’s QHSSE systems, policies and standards
• Lead, develop and recruit talent; drive performance management, succession and an inclusive, high‑performing culture
Qualifications
We are looking for a leader with a solid technical and commercial background and a track record of delivering results in complex environments.
• Professional proficiency in Norwegian and English
• 8–15 years of relevant experience (project management, business development, financial management or client responsibility)
• 3–8 years of leadership experience with people and budget responsibility
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, business/management or administration
• Proven P&L ownership and experience with tenders, pricing and contract negotiations
• Strong negotiation skills and experience establishing pricing strategies and margin protection
