Job Description
Your mission:
As our new Service Engineer, you’ll be the key technical support for our customers, ensuring their systems run smoothly and effectively. You’ll handle installations, training, troubleshooting and maintenance, all while leveraging your plant science knowledge and delivering excellent customer services.
• Install and set up our advanced plant measurement systems at customer sites, ensuring smooth and reliable operation from the start.
• Train and support customers on using our hardware and software, setting up first experiments and analysing first data to maximize their results and satisfaction.
• Provide expert troubleshooting remotely and on-site, resolving technical issues quickly to minimize disruptions.
• Perform regular maintenance and quality checks to keep systems running optimally and reliably.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and IT teams internally and at customer sites to meet technical and installation needs.
• Work in close collaboration with our Sales & Service team, providing internal technical training on request.
Your profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics or plant sciences with a strong interest in technology, or a related field.
• Hands-on technical skills (mechanical, electrical, or IT troubleshooting).
• Comfortable with Linux (Debian) and basic command line operations.
• Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communicator in English, both written and spoken.
• Organised and flexible, willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time, including short notice trips.
• Driver’s license.
