Job Summary:
Dean-Lane is looking for a Service Dispatcher to join our team!
Job Responsibilities:
The duties will include, but are not limited to:
Schedule HVAC and plumbing service calls, ensuring efficient planning and technician utilization.
Coordinate with the Service Manager to determine estimated job durations.
Communicate and dispatch technicians ensuring timely arrival, clear job instructions and any other relevant information. Maintain ongoing communication with service technicians regarding job progress, locations and schedules.
Match packing slips with purchase orders to ensure accuracy of incoming materials.
Enter job and material details into Jonas, creating and updating work orders accordingly.
Convert approved quotes into actionable work orders and schedule necessary repairs.
Assist with billing prep and documentation to ensure timely invoicing.
Create and maintain customer profiles within the Jonas system.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a service coordination, dispatch, or administrative support role (HVAC/plumbing industry preferred).
Familiarity with Jonas software or similar service management platforms.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, managers, and customers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience with GPS-based dispatching is considered an asset.
Knowledge of backflow documentation and city submission processes is considered an asset.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7:30 – 4:00
