Position Summary
Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Greenville is currently accepting resumes for a Service Development Representative to support the growth of our inpatient and outpatient programs. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships within the community and serving as a liaison between the hospital, healthcare providers, and referral sources to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate access to services.
The Service Development Representative collaborates with the Medical Director, Program Administrator, clinical leadership, and community partners to educate stakeholders on available programs and to support smooth transitions of care across all levels of clinical intensity.
Essential Functions
The Service Development Representative will:
Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, clinics, social service agencies, and community partners
Serve as a conduit of information between Freedom Behavioral and referral sources
Educate community providers on hospital services, programs, and admission processes
Identify community and staff educational needs and support development of an annual education calendar
Conduct in-service trainings and presentations for community and healthcare partners
Support case management functions within the community
Facilitate smooth transitions of care between different levels of clinical intensity
Prospect assigned territory to identify new referral opportunities
Track and report referral activity and outreach using web-based applications
Meet or exceed monthly referral and growth goals
Maintain professional relationships and represent the hospital in a positive, ethical, and professional manner
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Development, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
Equivalent healthcare marketing or development experience may be considered
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare sales, development, admissions, or referral management
Experience in marketing, sales, customer service, or clinical education strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to present hospital services professionally to physicians, clinicians, and referral sources
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Ability to prospect and grow a defined geographic territory
Comfortable working with performance metrics and monthly goals
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based reporting tools
Skilled in the use of tablets, smartphones, and mobile applications
Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-driven
Additional Requirements

Ability to travel daily within assigned territory
