Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Server and Storage Management

Design, implement, and manage an up to date and automated server and storage environments, ensuring high availability and performance

Develop a plan for server and storage optimization

Develop server and storage architecture that provide optimized resources to applications/systems with a disaster recovery plan that has RTO/RPO based on company business needs

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor a team of server and storage engineers, fostering professional development and teamwork

Capacity Planning

Analyze current infrastructure to plan for future growth and scalability, ensuring efficient resource utilization.

Backup and Recovery

Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to protect data integrity that coincides with CIT back-up policy.

Ensures back-up and disaster recovery plan is updated and tested regularly.

Performance Monitoring

Implement monitoring tools and practices to ensure system performance and proactively address issues

Collaboration

Work with other IT teams to support applications, databases, and network requirements

Documentation

Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and procedures aligned with TGI Quality Management Systems (QMS – ISO 9001) and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS – ISO 27001), and related standards to be implemented

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields

At least 4 years of experience in server and storage management, with a focus on technical lead role

Proficient in server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (SAN, NAS)

Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.

Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VMware Certified Professional, ITIL) are a plus.

Familiarity, knowledge and some experience with the following is an advantage:

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)

CIS Benchmarks

Server and Storage solutions

Windows Clustering

VMWare solutions

Back-up and auto replication solutions such as and should not be limited to VEEAM and SRM

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Monitoring, scanning and hardening servers and storage platforms

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Experienced in writing technical documentation
