The Role
We're looking for a Senior Workday Consultant to lead the technical design and delivery of our Workday platform across SEEK's Asia-Pacific operations. You'll be the Workday expert our People & Culture team relies on to architect scalable solutions, drive implementation excellence, and unlock the full potential of our HR tech stack.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll spend your days designing business processes, configuring modules end-to-end, and partnering with stakeholders across HR, IT, and the business to translate complex requirements into elegant Workday solutions. You'll own the technical roadmap for Workday enhancements, lead full-cycle implementations from requirements through hypercare, and be the go-to SME for all things Workday across our regional footprint.
You will report to the HCM Technology Senior Manager and work closely with our People & Culture team across APAC, regional HR leads, IT, and Cybersecurity teams. This role gives you the autonomy to shape how we leverage Workday to support SEEK's growth across multiple countries while building internal capability through knowledge transfer and mentorship.
Success in your first 12 months looks like: delivering specific module/project implementation, establishing robust Workday governance frameworks, becoming the trusted Workday advisor across the organization, and upskilling our internal teams to maximize the platform's capabilities.
The Team
As our organisation grows globally with over 3000 staff, the team is pivotal in its purpose of enabling our people to work easily and effectively at scale.
The People Technology and Insights team is responsible for implementation, maintenance, reporting and the management of systems and applications across People and Culture at Seek.
• Lead end-to-end Workday implementations including requirements gathering, solution architecture, hands-on configuration, testing orchestration, deployment, and hypercare support across Core HCM, Talent, Compensation, and Recruiting modules.
• Architect complex business processes, security frameworks, and advanced configurations including calculated fields, custom reports, EIBs, and Workday Studio integrations that scale across multiple countries.
• Partner with senior HR and business stakeholders to translate regional expansion strategies into technical Workday solutions, providing strategic consultation on system capabilities and identifying opportunities for process optimization.
• Serve as the Workday subject matter expert across SEEK's APAC operations, building strong relationships with stakeholders and becoming their trusted advisor for all things Workday.
• Manage Workday release cycles by evaluating new features, conducting impact assessments, and recommending implementations that align with our people strategy and business priorities.
• Design and deliver knowledge transfer programs, technical documentation, and training to build internal Workday capability and enable our People & Culture team to leverage the platform independently.
• Mentor team members on Workday functionality and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• 5+ years hands-on Workday configuration experience across multiple full-cycle implementations (not internal support or BAU roles)
• Expert-level configuration capability in Core HCM plus at least 2 specialized modules such as Talent, Compensation, Recruiting, Absence Management, or Time Tracking
• Proven track record leading implementations from design through go-live including requirements gathering, UAT leadership, and hypercare delivery
