Who you’ll be working with

We build the solutions dreamed up by the product and design teams. Our goal is to deliver working software every two weeks. We are a large team that spans across three global offices, but we collaborate and integrate front- and back-end components and interfaces to provide a user-centered experience through web and mobile platforms.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building the website front-end.

• Creating the website architecture.

• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.

• Conducting website performance tests.

• Troubleshooting and debugging issues.

• Conducting WordPress training with the client.

• Proactive post-release monitoring of site performance.

• Consulting, designing, and implementing new features and functionality.

• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.

• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.

• Need to lead the development of WordPress websites, plugins, themes, and custom functionality while ensuring the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.

• You will be responsible for overseeing code quality through regular code reviews, addressing performance bottlenecks, and troubleshooting issues to optimize site functionality.

What you’ll need to be successful (Requirements)

• 5+ years of experience in WordPress development, particularly in custom themes and plugins.

• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3

• Experience with modern frontend/CSS frameworks (e.g., TailwindCSS, BEM)

• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.

• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems

• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

• Experience with collaborative tools (Jira, Slack, etc.)

• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.

• Ability to manage projects.

• Good communication skills.

• Experience building user interfaces for websites and web applications

• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.

• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial etc.

• Good understanding of SEO implications during migrations and URL restructuring.

• Exposure to WooCommerce, Elementor, Divi plugins in addition to other third party integrations would be a plus.

• Basic understanding of securing a WP site is expected.
