Senior Wired Network Engineer (Design & Implementation – Cisco SD-WAN)

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly experienced Wired Network Engineer with both hands-on implementation and network design/architecture expertise to support a large-scale network modernization project across 600+ retail store locations.

This role requires a strong blend of strategic network design validation, architecture-level problem-solving, and hands-on implementation in complex enterprise WAN environments leveraging Viptela SD-WAN and Cisco IOS-XE technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and execute network upgrades across 600+ distributed retail sites following established design and deployment frameworks

•
Design, validate, and refine enterprise network architectures and configuration templates before deployment

•
Ensure network solutions align with enterprise standards, scalability, and security best practices

•
Implement and optimize configurations on Viptela SD-WAN and Cisco IOS-XE platforms

•
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced WAN connectivity and performance issues across hybrid environments

•
Collaborate with architecture, operations, and implementation teams to ensure seamless rollout execution

•
Provide technical and design guidance to junior engineers and implementation partners

•
Document network design decisions, rollout progress, configuration updates, and technical findings

What We’re Looking For:

•
7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments

•
Proven network design and architecture experience (preferably in distributed or multi-site environments)

•
Deep expertise in Viptela SD-WAN (design, configuration, and troubleshooting)

•
Strong proficiency with Cisco IOS-XE routing and switching

•
In-depth understanding of WAN architectures, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and network performance optimization

•
Demonstrated ability to lead network design validation and execute implementation with minimal supervision

•
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills

•
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setup

Nice to Have:

•
Experience leading large-scale or multi-site network design and upgrade projects

•
Background in retail or other distributed enterprise environments

•
Certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, or Cisco SD-WAN certifications

•
Familiarity with network automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, DNA Center)

Project Details:

• Contract length: 3 months (with potential extension based on project scope and performance)

• Work setup: Fully remote
