Senior Welding Inspector

We are seeking a Senior Welding Inspector to oversee and ensure compliance with welding procedures and standards on a major offshore pipelay operation aboard a lay barge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with WPS, project specifications, and international codes (e.g., DNV, ASME, ISO).
• Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and consumable handling.
• Conduct visual inspection of welds and coordinate with NDE team for further evaluations.
• Ensure traceability of materials and welding consumables.
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation.
• Liaise with client representatives and offshore welding personnel.

Requirements:
• 15 years’ experience in welding inspection in offshore oil & gas projects.
• 10 years’ experience as Client representative
• Certified to CSWIP 3.2 / 3.1, IWE / IWI-C, or equivalent international welding inspection certification.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline welding, including automatic welding systems used on laybarges.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and offshore welding challenges (e.g., pipe alignment, fatigue, corrosion resistance).
• Fluent in English; excellent reporting and communication skills.
• Offshore survival and medical certification (valid BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, OGUK or equivalent).
