Senior Web Analytics Analyst

Team Description

We're a Digital Acquisition team that drives SumUp Brazil’s entire online marketing strategy. From paid media to website optimization and content initiatives, our focus is to connect with entrepreneurs at every stage of their digital journey.

This is a critical role within the Website domain, focused on testing and improving the performance and conversion rates of SumUp Brazil’s website. A significant part of our new merchants come from the Online Acquisition channel, which makes this role key to scaling our impact and optimizing every interaction.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze User Behavior & KPIs: Conduct deep-dive analyses on key metrics such as traffic, conversion rates and bounce rates using tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and behavioral insights platforms to identify friction points and improvement opportunities in the user journey.

• Develop Conversion Hypotheses: Translate analytical findings and business goals into testable hypotheses, explaining why specific changes could increase conversion rates.

• A/B Tests: Manage controlled experiments to validate hypotheses and measure their impact.

• Ensure Data Integrity: Manage and troubleshoot tracking implementation, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and compliance across all web touchpoints.

• Report & Deliver Actionable Insights: Analyze test outcomes for statistical significance, build and automate dashboards and communicate clear, data-backed recommendations to stakeholders across teams.

• Drive Optimization Strategy: Build and maintain a testing roadmap together with the team, prioritize experiments based on potential impact and effort and advocate for a data-driven culture of continuous experimentation and improvement.

You’ll Be Great for This Role If You

• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to uncover insights from complex data.

• Have an experimentation mindset, embracing new tests and communicating results in a clear, actionable way.

• Bring business acumen, understanding key metrics like CRO, CTR, CPA, TPV , and CPL to prioritise high-impact initiatives.

• Have skills at data storytelling, translating findings into opportunities that drive business growth.

• Can manage multiple projects, collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, and influence outcomes.

• Have hands-on experience with CRO tools (Optimizely, AppsFlyer, etc.) and SQL, Snowflake for data querying.

• Build interactive dashboards using Tableau or Looker.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for A/B test variations or custom analytics events.

• Familiarity with behavioral analytics tools (Hotjar, Clarity).

• Familiarity with statistical modelling or Python/R for deeper segmentation or predictive analysis.
