Senior VP, Delivery and Operations

As a part of Rackspace Technology’s mission to provide exceptional support to our customers, the SVP of Delivery and Operations will be responsible for the company’s overall technical operations and service delivery, including running multiple/simultaneous small projects to large-scale, mission-critical portfolio projects.  This role requires efficient delivery and quality standards that are the best in the industry.   The SVP, Delivery & Operations, will bring expertise and discipline to create a measurable impact towards strengthening brand equity and differentiation for the company in the market by bringing experience in digital infrastructure, cloud storage, and customer delivery.  This leader will be a key member of the Private Cloud Executive Leadership Team (PVC ELT). 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and implement delivery strategies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.  Build a strong Global Delivery and Operations engine to enable growth and profitability.  Drive delivery and operational initiatives related to service delivery efficiency, process excellence, and operational excellence; and ensure common operating standards, processes, and metrics.  Implement quality control measures to ensure that deliverables meet the required standards.  Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects; ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.  Must have experience with multi-cloud platforms and cloud migration strategies, and  leveraging AI to deliver innovative capabilities and drive operational efficiencies  Operate in a matrixed, cross-cultural environment with experience in Go-to-Market Services creation and delivery operations & supply chain  Engage the highly competitive talent landscape to proactively shape the perception of Rackspace as a great place to work and build a career  Enable greater collaboration across different teams in the company  Act as an excellent communicator with the ability to win hearts/minds and engage multiple stakeholders across the organization  Partner with the GTM organization to support new business opportunities, delivery status, client satisfaction, and problem resolution  Drive the overall market narrative and resulting brand differentiation with customers that highlights the true state of the company today  Lead a globally diverse, multi-disciplined organization by developing and implementing talent management strategies, fostering shared goals aligned with business objectives, and cultivating a culture of high performance through clear metrics, ongoing feedback, and authentic leadership 

Skills and Experience :
Prior successful experience as a delivery leader with significant scope and complexity at scale ($1 billion)  Proven P&L leadership in a multi-site, distributed, global organization  Experience in Digital Infrastructure or Cloud  Excellent track record of managing cross-functional technical and non-technical resources  A people leader & talent developer who can attract and inspire  Proven experience in Service Delivery, Technical Operations,  Supply Chain, and Datacenter management preferred  Experience in cross-functional partnership with Product, Project Management, GTM, Engineering, and other teams internally as needed to ensure seamless delivery with enhanced user experience to clients  Proven success in driving operational initiatives related to service delivery efficiency, performance management, process excellence, and operational excellence  Ability to enable sales and pursue emerging new product opportunities for the company  Successfully operated in a matrixed environment  Culture champion – servant leadership mentality, authenticity  Ability to lead and work autonomously  Excellent communicator – able to win hearts/minds; engage multiple stakeholders across the organization  Ability to remain open-minded when a pivot or change in direction is required  Executive presence and gravitas to engage with key internal and external stakeholders  Energetic, self-motivated leader who can cultivate a culture of pride and performance  Ability and desire to work in a fast-growing, globally distributed, dynamic environment  Ability to lead with influence and expertise  Advanced analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions 

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required. MBA or graduate degree highly preferred.
