Senior Vice President / Executive Director, Corporate Finance
Country: Hong Kong
Senior deal lead responsible for end-to-end execution of complex M&A and capital markets transactions and active contribution to origination and client development across Asia Pacific.
Acts as a trusted advisor to clients, managing transaction processes, coordinating cross-border teams, and supporting the development of new business opportunities across priority sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Execution Leadership
• Lead execution of M&A, ECM, and strategic advisory transactions across Asia Pacific or across Latam, Europe and US
• Act as primary day-to-day client contact, ensuring high-quality delivery and senior-level engagement
• Manage all transaction workstreams including:
• Due diligence
• Financial analysis
• Structuring
• Documentation and negotiations (legal docs including SHA and SPA)
• Coordinate internal teams across Europe, LatAm, and US to deliver integrated cross-border solutions
• Oversee external advisors (legal, accounting, technical)
• Expert in transactions requiring SASAC approval (and other Chinese authorities)
Origination & Client Development
• Support and increasingly lead origination of new Corporate Finance mandates
• Develop and maintain relationships with:
• Corporate clients (Chinese SOEs and POEs as a primary focus)
• Financial sponsors
• Infrastructure and sovereign investors
• Identify strategic opportunities, including:
• Cross-border M&A
• Carve-outs
• Capital raises
• Contribute to pitching and conversion of mandates
Project & Team Management
• Lead deal teams, allocating responsibilities across associates and analysts
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials (IMs, presentations, financial models)
• Maintain control over data room processes and information flow
Financial Analysis & Valuation
• Build and review advanced financial models including:
• M&A accretion/dilution
• LBO analysis
• Project finance / infrastructure models (if relevant)
• Perform valuation using:
• DCF
• Trading comparables
• Transaction comparables
• LBO / IRR frameworks
• Translate analysis into clear client recommendations
Requirements
• University graduate, MBA is a plus.
• 8–10 years of experience in M&A / Corporate Finance at a leading investment bank or advisory firm with strong execution track record across M&A and capital markets transactions.
• Extensive exposure to cross-border M&A and experience working in an international, cross-border environment
• Experience engaging with SOEs and POEs; familiarity with Latin America, Europe, and/or US markets is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to lead transactions independently at advanced stages and manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders
• Deep expertise in financial modelling and valuation, with strong qualitative and quantitative analytical capabilities
• Strong commercial judgement with well-developed client engagement, and presentation skills
• Fluency in English required; Mandarin and/or Spanish advantageous
