We are seeking a Senior Venture Investment Manager to lay the foundation of Bosch’s venture-building efforts. In this role, you will develop and grow our venture portfolio from business idea to exit - evaluating investments and executing deals with rigor while actively supporting ventures in their strategic and operational development. You bridge financial judgement and entrepreneurial execution with due diligence: analyzing market potential, founder teams, business models, products and financials to accelerate development and growth. 

This role requires the mindset of an investor and the pragmatism of a builder.

Your Responsibilities:

• Guide the creation of new ventures in line with our investment theses through your knowledge, experience and view on early-stage ventures.
• Propose funding decisions for new ventures, ensure hypothesis validation and value increase of our early-stage ventures.
• Ensure optimal use of Bosch's unfair advantages (IP, assets, competencies, market access) for each opportunity.
• Continuously review business model, product strategy, technology and financials by understanding innovation, defensibility, scalability and IP of the ventures offering.
• Monitor venture performance, milestones, value creation and strategic alignment.
• Negotiate term sheets and investment agreements.
• Provide strategic guidance and facilitate access to Bosch resources and networks.
• Manage a portfolio of multiple concurrent ventures at different stages.
• Serve in investment committees and on venture boards representing Bosch's strategic and financial interests.
• Build and foster relationships with venture partners, VCs, and strategic co-investors.
• Cultivate internal champion networks across Bosch business units and functions.

• Hands-on experience in venture capital, corporate venture building, innovation management or startup operations, with a proven track record in early-stage investing or venture creation. 
• Strong investment and business judgement with the ability to assess markets, technologies, teams and financials and envision exceptional ventures.
• Strategic, opportunity-driven entrepreneur with strong analytical and sound decision-making skillset.
• Skilled negotiator experienced in structuring and negotiating deals, comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
• Confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and navigate a decentralized organization.
• Exceptional storyteller with ability to translate complex ideas into winning investment memos and pitches, attract top founders for ventures and secure internal backing for high-potential opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with founders, co-investors, peers and partners.
• Fast learner to develop deep industry knowledge in target sectors.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Engineering, Science, Finance or related fields. Strong background in technology is highly valued.
• Business fluency in English is required; German proficiency is a plus.

The role is based in the Stuttgart or Berlin area, Germany. Regular national and international business travel is expected.
