Job Description
About the Role
We are developing highly autonomous, high-performance interceptor systems for military and defense applications. These systems operate under extreme dynamic, environmental, and operational conditions and must meet the highest standards of correctness, robustness, and reliability.
As a Senior Verification & Validation Engineer, you will own and shape the end-to-end V&V strategy for autonomous interceptor systems, spanning simulation, software, hardware, and system-level validation. Your work ensures that what we build not only works, but works predictably, repeatably, and safely under real operational conditions.
This role requires deep experience with military or safety-critical systems, strong engineering judgment, and the authority to challenge designs when evidence is insufficient.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
• Owning the verification and validation strategy for autonomous Counter‑UAS interceptor systems
• Translating system, mission, and safety requirements into verifiable and testable criteria
• Designing and executing multi‑layer V&V activities across simulation, software, hardware, and system levels
• Performing model‑based, simulation‑driven verification and validation
• Executing Software‑in‑the‑Loop and Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop test campaigns
• Validating system‑level and flight‑test behavior under real operational conditions
• Verifying autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control behavior including edge cases and off‑nominal scenarios
• Defining and executing stress tests, fault‑injection campaigns, and robustness testing
• Assessing system behavior under degraded sensors, actuators, communication loss, and jamming conditions
• Evaluating performance under environmental disturbances and adversarial operational scenarios
• Defining acceptance criteria and readiness gates for prototype, pre‑series, and operational systems
• Collaborating closely with systems engineering, autonomy, controls, avionics, simulation, and flight‑test teams
• Supporting qualification, certification, and military customer acceptance activities
• Documenting V&V evidence suitable for audits, reviews, and defense customer evaluations
