Role Overview

LumiMeds is a high-growth telehealth platform building the next generation of virtual telehealth infrastructure. We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer who excels at merging world-class aesthetic design with deep functional logic. In this role, you aren't just a visual designer—you are an architect of the entire digital journey. You will bridge the gap between complex technical architecture and seamless user experiences, ensuring our storefront, checkout, and clinical engines drive both business growth and patient health outcomes. You will balance the visual polish of a high-performance marketing website with the robust architecture of a state-heavy web application.

Core Design Domains

You will define the user experience and visual language for the following critical systems:

• E-commerce & Conversion: Leading the strategy for high-conversion storefronts, complex product catalogs, and dynamic pricing engines.

• Subscription & Checkout: Managing complex subscription billing models and financial integrity within a healthcare context.

• Patient Journey & EMR Integration: Ensuring a frictionless transition from the e-commerce checkout to the clinical EMR and provider consultation flows.

• Virtual Care Interfaces: Designing real-time interfaces for WebRTC video, secure messaging, and async consultation flows.

• AI Clinical Copilot: Visualizing AI-powered features that automate clinical documentation and optimize provider workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Aesthetic Engineering: Translate high-fidelity Figma mocks into pixel-perfect, responsive web experiences that maintain visual integrity across all devices.

• Product Strategy: Own the end-to-end design roadmap for the e-commerce and checkout experience, balancing technical constraints with business goals.

• Design System & Motion: Maintain a modular component library and use purposeful, premium animations to make the platform feel intuitive and alive.

• Conversion Optimization: Analyze conversion funnels and subscription retention to design high-impact features that improve patient growth and provider efficiency.

• Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with Lead and Senior Engineers to ensure designs are compatible with modern web stacks (Next.js/Node.js) and API requirements.

• Compliance & Trust: Ensure all designs maintain the highest standards of HIPAA and SOC2 compliance, particularly regarding PII protection and payment data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, specifically in e-commerce, fintech, or health-tech.

• Complex Systems Thinking: Proven experience managing intricate state machines, such as order fulfillment and subscription lifecycles.

• Technical Literacy: A strong understanding of modern web stacks, including how design decisions impact performance (Core Web Vitals) and frontend implementation.

• AI Literacy: Experience or high interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools and integrating LLM APIs into user-facing product features.

• Uncompromising Eye for Detail: You care about typography, spacing, and micro-interactions as much as you care about clean system architecture.

• High Agency: Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and make high-leverage decisions without constant supervision.

• Communication: Professional proficiency in English for high-quality documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
