Why this role is important to us
This role is critical to the success of Core data projects as it ensures the development of high-quality, user-friendly, and scalable UI solutions. A dedicated UI-focused senior developer to translate business and functional requirements into intuitive interfaces, improving overall user experience and adoption. By reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President, the role also enables faster decision-making, better alignment with project goals, and timely delivery of UI components, ultimately contributing to the efficiency, consistency, and visual integrity of SSCD applications.
What you will be responsible for
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex UI applications using ReactJS and modern frontend technologies, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Define and enforce frontend architecture, design patterns, and coding standards, promoting best practices across UI development teams.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX designers, backend teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to UI developers, conducting code reviews, design reviews, and guiding the team on ReactJS best practices.
- Drive adoption of modern UI frameworks, component libraries, and tools (e.g., React, MUI, state management, build tools).
- Oversee UI performance optimization, accessibility, responsiveness and cross‑browser compatibility.
- Ensure high code quality through automated testing, unit testing strategies, CI/CD integration, and adherence to development standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing to delivery commitments.
- Identify technical risks and bottlenecks, propose solutions, and take ownership of technical decision‑making.
- Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery and alignment with overall project and business goals.

• SDLC, Agile & Requirement Analysis
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with hands‑on experience in Agile methodologies. Ability to analyze business requirements and functional specifications and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• UI & Backend Technical Expertise
Extensive experience in UI development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, and MUI, along with solid backend knowledge in Java and REST APIs. Good understanding of databases and PL/SQL is an added advantage.
• System Design, Data Structures & Code Quality
Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms, enabling the development of efficient, scalable, and maintainable applications. Ensures adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization.
• Version Control & Cross‑Team Collaboration
Solid understanding of Git features and workflows. Proven ability to coordinate with cross‑regional teams, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a global development team.
• Leadership, Communication & Ownership
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrate high levels of dedication, accountability, and commitment toward delivering quality outcomes and supporting team success.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree with Computer science background.
• 8+ years of SDLC experience, developing UI solutions
• Experience working with cross-functional and globally distributed teams
