Job Description
Who we are
We’re GoSpooky: the ones who get all things social. A global agency made for the social era. We grow brands through content, community, and commerce, keeping them at the forefront of culture. Social isn’t just first, it’s the foundation.
From creatives and commerce specialists to game designers and data analysts, we cover the full social spectrum. If it shapes internet culture, we’re on it, making fast, bold, and relevant work that actually gets shared.
As official partners of Instagram and Snapchat and partners and social affiliates of TikTok (Shop), we work with brands like KLM, JBL, Samsung, Prime Video and HEMA. Driven by bold ambition, endless creativity and authentic people, our teams think ahead, react fast and keep brands culturally relevant. Whether it’s live social shopping, creator management, social-first campaigns or turning a trend into a brand moment.
We’re always looking for fresh energy: people who bring new perspectives, challenge the norm and help us and our clients evolve. If you love shaking up social, thinking big and moving fast, you’ll fit right in.
The Role
As a Senior Traffic Manager you will support GoSpooky's 40% growth ambition and transition from "firefighting" daily requests to becoming the strategic "traffic controller" of the agency. Reporting to the Head of Operations, your primary focus will be on capacity oversight, operational forecasting, and strategic casting. You will move away from decentralized daily planning (which now sits with the Project Leads) to maintain high-level accountability for the agency's resource health. You will leverage new AI automations to streamline workflows and ensure our scalable Unit structure is fueled by the right talent strategies.
What you’ll do
Work closely with the Commercial team to translate the sales pipeline into concrete resource requirements
Own the operational forecast and the hiring roadmap, predicting bottlenecks or bench time weeks in advance
Maintain the "master view" by monitoring the workload across all Units to identify imbalances and flagging over- or under-capacity
Manage high-level planning conflicts and facilitate the decision-making process
Build and nurture a curated "Flexible Layer" of freelancers, being responsible for the strategy behind who we hire, negotiating rates, and ensuring we have a scalable pool of talent ready for growth
Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of freelance staff (supported by automation) and act as the gatekeeper of the freelance budget
Advise on complex staffing puzzles and strategic casting decisions
Own the end-to-end traffic and resourcing process, actively working to simplify, standardize, and automate workflows (planning requests, conflict resolution, timesheet validation) to ensure they are robust and scalable
Act as the business owner of our resource management tools (Productive, etc.), ensuring the data reflecting our capacity and utilization is accurate and up-to-date, serving as the single source of truth for decision-making
Define and maintain the working model between Traffic and the decentralized Units, ensuring clear communication and efficient handovers
What we’re looking for
5+ years of experience in traffic management, resource planning, or project management within a creative agency or production environment
The ability to look beyond today’s to-do list and see the bigger picture of agency health and capacity trends
Understanding of the financial impact of their decisions, recognizing that hiring a freelancer affects margin, and treats the company’s money as their own
Strong communication skills, with the ability to stand your ground and deliver tough messages diplomatically while offering alternative solutions
A complex puzzle lover, who doesn’t panic when the plan changes (and it always does), pivots, and finds new solutions.
Capable of working towards a 100% resolution with only 30% of the info, confidently taking a leading role
A visible and accessible presence, with a minimum of 3 days a week office attendance to build relationships and sense the team's pulse
What’s in it for you?
Flexible holiday policy for a proper recharge
Commuting allowance
Remote working possibilities in agreement with your team
A MacBook for peak productivity
Training opportunities to develop your skills and grow with us
Healthy communal lunches to keep you fueled
Fun events to connect, recharge, and bond as a team
Phone allowance of up to €25/month (depending on your role)
Unlimited mental health support via OpenUp
A pension plan and contribution
Gift card and birthday wishes every year
Dutch classes for international team members
