Senior Test Automation Engineer (Industrialization) for eBike Connected Devices_EB

Bosch eBike Systems, established in 2009 within the Bosch Group, offers a comprehensive portfolio for eBikes (pedelecs) – a system comprising a drive unit, batteries, bicycle computers and digital services. Our eBike Shenzhen branch and office was established in December 2018, and ever since our expanding team in Shenzhen brings innovation to the industry of eBikes. We are offering innovative products and solutions for the EB business unit “Connected Devices” to maintain and extend our leadership position in the market. “Connected Devises” comprises the eBike devices mounted to the handlebar and frame, acting as interface between bicycle rider and eBike system – in other words outdoor devices with displays, buttons, sensors and wireless connectivity functions.

Job Duties

• Take responsibility as a senior test automation engineer in an international engineering team, and continuously develop, implement, monitor and improve production testing processes for the EB Connected Devices products, therefor ensuring 100 % quality production and products.
• Act as a contact window between Bosch engineering teams and external manufacturing suppliers, in all product phases as development, ramp-up and series production.
• You are an integral part of an international engineering organization located in Germany (headquarter), China, Portugal and Sweden, and you establish know-how build-up and exchange between the regions.

Main tasks

• You design and deliver production test concepts, methods and specifications in alignment with all stakeholders.
• You consolidate the production test requirement with hardware and software teams to ensure test coverage, cost effectiveness and product quality.
• You guide manufacturing partners and suppliers for tester development – both fixtures and test software.
• You support the implementation of test concepts onsite.
• You assist the implementation in suppliers, support and maintain the key management system (KMS).
• You ensure to collect test data at suppliers and transfer to the internal database, and you derive continuous improvement actions from it.
• You integrate production tests as both production processes and quality control step.

Skill Factors

Education

• Bachelor degree or above in electronic/mechatronic/electrical/computer engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• 8 years or above of production testing related experience in the electronic manufacturing business is required, of which minimum 3 years in New Production Introduction (NPI)/Industrialization role is preferred

Capability, skills

• Personal abilities expected: systematic, self-organized, problem solving, fast-learning, proactive, team player.
• Proficient communication and language skills in English to work in international project teams are mandatory.
• Willingness to travel domestic and overseas to suppliers and partners is expected.
• Experience and knowledge:• Knowledge is required of electrical testing, including flashing, baseband and RF (LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.) testing, and electrical interface like CAN, UART and USB.
• Understanding is required of manufacturing statistics
• Knowledge is required of qualification of test stations, e.g. repeatability test and GR&R is required.
• Experience is expected in programming in Python, C/C++, embedded C programming.
• Knowledge is preferred of data format like JSON or XML.
• Understanding is required of statistics and graphs for production data visualization, including yield, first test/pass yield, histogram, cpk, etc., to use this statistics and tools for improvement of test station, and act as a business product owner or end-user for data visualization specification.
• Knowledge is expected for basic networking settings and security key generation/server (KMS).
• Experience is recommended in the mechanical/electrical design of test fixture.
