Title: Senior Telecommunications Technician
Security Clearance: Secret
Location: Camp Arifjan, Kuwait
(Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.)
Description:
C3EL is seeking a cleared and experienced professional to join our team at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. The Senior Telecommunications Technician will be responsible for the terminals supporting the SLC3S-A (Senior Leader Command, Control, and Communications System - Airborne), providing executive airborne communications supporting world-wide command and control capabilities to US Government Senior Leaders (i.e., the President of the United States (POTUS); Vice President of the United States (VPOTUS); Secretary of Defense (SECDEF); Secretary of State (SECSTATE); Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS); Unified Combatant Commanders (COCOMs); and their staffs as well as other Government senior leaders).
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Must possess knowledge and experience with both tactical and commercial communications equipment.
• Demonstrated understanding of strategic SATCOM terminals and associated frequency bands, including C, Ku, X, and Ka.
• Familiarity with the operation and application of test equipment used for diagnosing and maintaining communication systems.
• Working knowledge of strategic UHF communication systems.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills are required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Active, in-scope Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting the installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of communications-electronic systems and equipment.
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience operating in a tactical environment, with hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of antenna controllers, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA) and Low Noise Blocks (LNB), up/down converters, and Fiber Optic, Coaxial, and Ethernet cabling.
• Proficient in working with Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) satellite modems.
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in both commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures.
• Proficiency with commercial TDMA and Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) modems is required.
• Able to travel to support mission up to 10%.
• Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, OR an Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) years of recent specialized experience.
