Role Overview:
• We are looking for an experienced, self‑driven, and technically strong Technical Writer to join our Product Documentation team.
• This role requires someone who can work independently from day one, contribute to program execution, and deliver high‑quality, customer‑ready documentation under tight timelines.
• The candidate will play a key role in creating, reviewing, and improving product documentation while partnering closely with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and Support teams.
• This position is well-suited for professionals who bring a content‑strategy mindset, strong, structured‑authoring ability, and practical exposure to modern documentation tooling and AI‑assisted workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and support product documentation, including:
• User guides, administration manuals, installation, and configuration guides
• API documentation, FAQs, release notes, and online help systems
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to gather technical inputs and understand complex product workflows.
• Edit, review, and enhance existing documentation for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and usability.
• Apply DITA principles, single sourcing, and content reuse to scale documentation efficiently.
• Contribute to content strategy, information architecture, and process improvements.
• Participate in reviews, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and ensure documentation readiness for releases.
• Support documentation needs across maintenance and mainline releases, including multi‑cluster environments.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools for authoring, review, content optimization, and automation where applicable.
• Contribute to initiatives around chatbots, LLM‑powered user help, and intelligent documentation experiences.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering, Technical Writing, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 5–12 years of proven experience in technical writing or technical communications roles.
• Prior experience in telecommunications, cloud‑native platforms, or enterprise software is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle program‑critical deliverables independently.
Core Competencies:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong technical precision.
• Ability to break down complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to documentation quality.
Preferred Skills & Tools:
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum / DevOps environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with structured authoring and DITA.
• Complete knowledge of structured authoring with tools such as oXygen XML, MadCap Flare, FrameMaker, and ArborText.
• Familiarity with Git‑based workflows, CMS platforms (Confluence, Notion), and markup languages (Markdown, AsciiDoc).
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and scripting (Python or JavaScript is a plus).
• Awareness of UX writing, accessibility standards, and content design principles.
• Experience creating diagrams, visuals, and rich content using tools like Lucidchart or Draw.io.
• Exposure to AI tools, LLMs, and chatbot‑driven documentation is considered a strong advantage.
