Job Description
About Finster AI
• Finster AI is a Series A-stage company building an AI-native platform for research and process automation to help finance professionals unlock unique insights with greater efficiency and accuracy.
• They deliver end-to-end solutions by building AI agents that can read, analyse and integrate disparate sources of financial and market data.
• Their product is designed for institutional investors, with accuracy, reliability, and privacy at the core.
About the Team
• Founded by former Google DeepMind and Meta AI leaders.
• The team brings experience from Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Rothschild & Co, Aviva Investors, Visible Alpha, and Revolut.
• Fast growing team of 25+ people primarily based in London and New York.
• This is the first dedicated Technical PM role at Finster AI, driven by rapid platform growth (from 2 to 5 modules + API). You'll report directly to the Head of Product.
What you are expected to do
• Own the technical product roadmap: APIs, data integrations and platform infrastructure
• Translate product and company strategy into a clear, actionable roadmap for backend and platform engineering teams
• Own and prioritise the engineering backlog, balancing product needs, technical dependencies, infrastructure improvements, and scalability requirements
• Work closely with backend and platform engineers to refine technical requirements, challenge assumptions, and ensure the best architectural decisions are made
• Break down complex technical initiatives into clear milestones that engineering teams can execute against
• Facilitate planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives for engineering teams
• Instrument observability and analytics (e.g. Amplitude) to monitor platform performance and drive data-informed decisions
• Identify technical debt and proactively scope solutions that balance speed and quality
What you need to succeed
• 5–7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Product Owner, or in an engineering-focused product role with a track record of owning and prioritizing complex technical backlogs.
• Strong experience working directly with backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering teams.
• Comfortable discussing system architecture, APIs, data flows, and technical trade-offs with engineers.
• Proven ability to prioritise complex technical workstreams while balancing product, infrastructure, and business needs.
• Experience in SaaS and B2B environments with complex, data-heavy products.
• Data-driven mindset with practical experience using product analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude) to inform decisions.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills — able to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment where you are expected to proactively identify problems and drive solutions.
• Familiarity with modern product delivery and engineering tooling (Linear, GitHub, Datadog, etc.)
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with AI/ML products or AI-native platforms.
• Background in fintech, financial services, or data-intensive/quantitative domains.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, data pipelines, or API-driven platforms.
• Hands-on experience with observability and instrumentation tools.
• Familiarity with API design and developer experience (DX).
What you get
• High-impact role: Shape the technical foundation of an AI platform used by Tier 1 investment banks and asset managers.
• Autonomy and ownership: Work directly with the Head of Product, owning the technical product surface end-to-end.
• Exceptional team: Work with colleagues from DeepMind, Meta AI, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Revolut, and other leading institutions.
• Growth opportunities: Significant room for growth in scope and responsibility as the company and product scale.
• Competitive package: £80,000–120,000 (London) or $100,000–200,000 (New York) base compensation, plus meaningful equity in a high-growth, Series A company.
• Benefits and time off: 25 days PTO plus bank holidays, healthcare and dental package.
• Hybrid work: London or New York; preferred 2-3 days per week in the office.
"This is a unique chance to own the technical backbone of a fast-scaling AI-native platform — from APIs and infrastructure to platform strategy. With the product expanding rapidly, ths is the right moment to join the team."
