Job Description
Blue Canyon Technologies, RTX's small satellite manufacturer and mission services provider, is solving some of the toughest challenges in space. Our components and bus platforms have completed missions ranging from very-low Earth orbits to lunar and interplanetary journeys at a fraction of the cost of traditional space systems. We support premier defense, commercial and civil organizations including the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, NASA, MIT Lincoln Lab, the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, University of Colorado and more. Join our innovative and dynamic company as we build, test and operate the small spacecraft of the future.
Position Purpose: The Senior Technical Product Manager drives the technical direction, planning, and execution of BCT’s Attitude Determination and Control Systems while working closely with PMs and TPMs of related components like star trackers, wheels, torque rods, and sun sensors. This role owns the product roadmap, assists technical proposal efforts, and aligns engineering execution with customer needs and business goals. Acting as the voice of the customer, the Technical Product Manager ensures that technical decisions deliver both near-term program success and long-term product value.
This role is for someone who is comfortable being the connective tissue between customers, engineering, and the business. You take ownership of product direction naturally, especially when priorities are competing or the path forward isn’t obvious. You ask the right questions early, frame tradeoffs clearly, and help teams converge on decisions that make sense both technically and strategically. You are comfortable leading through influence by aligning stakeholders, shaping priorities, and giving engineers the context they need to execute well. You care about building products that are relevant, repeatable, and valuable over time, and you take pride in translating customer needs and market signals into clear roadmaps that enable teams to focus and deliver.
