As a Senior Technical Level Designer on Blight Survival, you will act as the technical backbone of the Level Design team, ensuring gameplay content is robust, scalable, and performant. You will bridge creative intent and technical execution by owning data structures, tools, and workflows that enable efficient content creation. Working within a small, highly collaborative team, you will wear multiple hats and play a key role in maintaining technical quality across the project.


In this role you will: :
• Implement gameplay scenarios using the existing toolset, including checkpoints, objectives, enemy spawns, and special events.
• Own and maintain the technical structure of level design data and content systems before handoff to the Level Design team.
• Collaborate closely with programmers, designers, artists, and animators to align technical solutions with the game vision.
• Review blueprints, prefabs, and technical setups to optimize performance, reduce bugs, and ensure scalability.
• Act as a technical reference for the Level Design team, balancing creative ambition with performance and budget constraints.
• Support debugging, bug fixing, strike teams, and cross‑disciplinary investigations throughout production.


What we are looking for::
• 5+ years of professional experience or at least one shipped PC or console AAA title, including 3+ years in a technical design role.
• Strong technical background with experience in scripting and a solid understanding of programming paradigms.
• Expert‑level proficiency with Unreal Engine, including Blueprint scripting and editor workflows.
• Experience working on multiplayer or co‑op titles, with a strong understanding of replication and network communication.
• Proven experience with performance profiling, optimization, and technical debugging.
• Experience on open‑world, systemic, procedural gameplay, or AI‑driven content is considered a strong asset.


Dans ce rôle, vous devrez::
• Implémenter des scénarios de gameplay à l’aide des outils existants, incluant checkpoints, objectifs, spawns ennemis et événements spéciaux;
• Structurer, maintenir et valider les données et systèmes techniques du level design avant leur prise en charge par l’équipe;
• Collaborer étroitement avec les programmeur·euse·s, designers, artistes et animateur·trice·s afin d’assurer une intégration fluide des fonctionnalités;
• Réviser et optimiser les blueprints, prefabs et configurations techniques afin de réduire les risques de bugs et d’améliorer la performance;
• Agir comme référence technique pour l’équipe de Level Design, en conciliant vision créative et contraintes techniques et budgétaires;
• Soutenir le débogage, la résolution de problèmes, les Strike Teams et les enquêtes interdisciplinaires.


Ce que nous recherchons::
• Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle ou au moins un jeu PC ou console AAA livré, dont 3 ans en design technique;
• Solide bagage technique incluant le scripting et une bonne compréhension des paradigmes de programmation;
• Maîtrise experte d’Unreal Engine, incluant les Blueprints et les workflows de l’éditeur;
• Expérience en développement multijoueur ou coopératif, avec compréhension de la réplication et des communications réseau;
• Expérience en profilage de performance, optimisation et débogage;
• Une expérience en monde ouvert, gameplay systémique, procédural, IA ou environnements est un atout important.


Le.la Concepteur·trice technique sénior·e en level design joue un rôle central dans la qualité, la stabilité et l’efficacité du contenu de Blight Survival. En tant que pont entre le Level Design et l’ingénierie, il ou elle assure la cohérence technique des systèmes tout en soutenant la créativité de l’équipe. Ce poste est clé dans un contexte de petite équipe où l’autonomie, la polyvalence et la rigueur technique sont essentielles à la réussite du projet.
