WHY WE NEED YOU

Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Product Documentation team to support the transition following the departure of key leads and ensure continuity and quality across all product documentation.

Your mission will be to lead and evolve Scaleway’s documentation strategy, combining technical writing, project management, and cross-team collaboration, in order to deliver clear, developer-centric content and maintain Scaleway’s standards of excellence and accessibility.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together.

You will be part of a team of 8 technical writers who work closely together to brainstorm, review, and ship documentation for all Scaleway products. The team is at a key transition moment, with exciting opportunities to innovate and redefine its documentation practices. You will also collaborate daily with Product Managers, Engineers, Product Designers, and PMMs across multiple product squads.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

- Write, review, and publish technical content (tutorials, guides, API references, UX copy, troubleshooting, etc.) across all Scaleway products.

- Manage documentation projects end-to-end: from conception to deployment.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and UX teams to ensure documentation quality and consistency.

- Lead internal documentation initiatives: define KPIs, update guidelines, and run retrospectives.

- Maintain and deploy documentation sites via CI/CD pipelines.

- Analyze user feedback and documentation usage metrics to drive continuous improvement.

- Support and mentor junior writers, fostering a culture of clarity and collaboration.

- Contribute to UX writing and microcopy for the Scaleway Console.

- Manage Jira boards, stakeholder requests, and sprint priorities.

- Present documentation outcomes and insights to leadership and product teams.

ABOUT YOU

HARDSKILLS:

- Proven experience as a Senior Technical Writer in a cloud, SaaS, or DevOps environment.

- Mastery of Git/GitHub, Markdown, Jira, Confluence, Figma, and OpenAPI/Swagger.

- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (IaaS, Kubernetes, Object Storage).

- Experience with static site generators (MkDocs or Docusaurus) and CI/CD documentation pipelines.

- Knowledge of SEO basics, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Amplitude).

SOFTSKILLS:

- Proactive communication — you ask questions, clarify, and share early and often.

- Empathy for developers and users.

- Initiative and ownership, able to identify gaps and drive improvements autonomously.

- Calm adaptability in a fast-evolving cloud landscape.
