Job Summary
The Senior Tax Recruiter & Professional Development Lead is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of all levels of tax professionals while also designing and supporting professional development initiatives for tax staff. This role partners closely with tax leadership and Human Resources to attract top talent, build strong pipelines, and support long-term growth, engagement, and retention of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Senior Tax Recruiting
Lead full-cycle recruiting for senior-level tax roles (e.g., Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, Directors), including sourcing, interviewing, and offer management
Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies for specialized tax disciplines
Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and tax leadership to understand business needs and workforce planning goals
Proactively source candidates through networking, referrals, industry events, and online platforms
Manage candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding
Analyze recruiting metrics and market trends to continuously improve hiring outcomes
Support campus, lateral, and experienced hire recruiting initiatives as needed
Handle full cycle recruiting for non-tax roles as needed.
Professional Development & Talent Growth
Partner with tax leadership to identify skill gaps and professional development needs across tax teams
Help design, coordinate, and promote professional development programs (technical training, soft skills, leadership development, and career-pathing initiatives)
Support onboarding and early-career development programs for new tax hires, including development of Summer Internship programs for undergraduate and graduate students.
Assist in creating mentoring, coaching, and internal mobility programs for tax professionals
Track participation and effectiveness of development programs and recommend improvements
Manage the Firm’s CPE Reimbursement Policy for CPAs, along with tracking annual CPE requirements and providing strategic planning for in-house training opportunities.
Act as a trusted advisor to tax professionals regarding career growth and development opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of recruiting experience, with demonstrated experience in tax, accounting, or professional services recruiting
Demonstrated experience recruiting senior-level or specialized roles within tax
Experience supporting or leading professional development, training, or talent management initiatives preferred
Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $100,000-$125,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
