The Senior System Integration Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure, scalable and highly available infrastructure environments that support critical digital services. The role provides technical leadership in the integration of infrastructure, platforms and applications, ensuring reliable system performance while supporting the deployment, sustainment and continuous improvement of complex technology capabilities.

Requirements:
What you'll do:

• Lead the design, engineering, deployment and maintenance of secure, scalable and highly available Linux and Kubernetes infrastructure environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) capabilities to automate the deployment, configuration and security of physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Deploy, manage and support containerised applications within Kubernetes environments.
• Integrate commercial, government and open-source software solutions to support the development and sustainment of complex system capabilities.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand capability requirements and translate these into effective infrastructure and system integration solutions.
• Identify system dependencies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across platforms and services.
• Support the delivery of projects using Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to improve collaboration, automation and delivery outcomes.
• Contribute to system testing, deployment and ongoing operational support of infrastructure and platform capabilities.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures and architecture artefacts.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance within multidisciplinary teams to support effective delivery and operational outcomes.

What you'll bring:

• Demonstrated experience designing, deploying and maintaining secure Linux infrastructure environments (including RHEL 7 or later).
• Strong experience with Kubernetes deployment, configuration, container orchestration and security management.
• Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code solutions for automated infrastructure deployment and management.
• Proven experience deploying and managing containerised applications within Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience integrating infrastructure, platforms and applications across complex enterprise environments.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and automation frameworks, including tools such as Ansible.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, Agile delivery methodologies and modern infrastructure management approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to identify system dependencies and collaborate with multiple technical stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Excellent documentation, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Degree or relevant qualification in information technology, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant industry certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, Kubernetes Administrator or cloud certifications are desirable.
• Understanding of information assurance and system accreditation processes within secure environments is advantageous.
