SOSi is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Support Lead (OS) in Wiesbaden, Germany.  The ideal candidate will possess experience overseeing engineering, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-level server architectures and operating systems in support of theater-level mission requirements. The role involves leading technical system efforts, ensuring data integrity, and providing high-level technical support across complex Microsoft and UNIX-based environments.
Essential Job Duties
• Provide senior-level engineering support for the design, integration, and implementation of complex Microsoft and UNIX-based server architectures and hardware.
• Lead the technical planning and execution of server upgrades, resource allocation, and storage management (SAN/NAS) for theater-level data processing environments.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and manage hybrid-cloud integrations to enable scalable and resilient system performance.
• Direct the management of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and GPO configurations to ensure secure access control and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
• Ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) by performing advanced troubleshooting and ensuring all systems meet STIG compliance requirements.
• Provide situational assessments, utilization metrics, and proactive technical support to address emerging system requirements and theater-wide processing initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
• Active in scope Secret clearance with T5.
• BA/BS degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Business Administration, or Mathematics) plus three (3) years of specialized experience OR Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR a major professional certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR eleven (11) years of specialized experience.
• Possession of at least one of the following Microsoft certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or Security Operations Analyst Associate; or Azure Solutions Architect Expert; or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
• The following experience may be concurrent.• Minimum four (4) years of experience using and maintaining UNIX systems and/or Microsoft Server Based OS.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Server based products, HP-UX, or Solaris.
• Minimum two (2) years of direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems.
Preferred Qualifications
• Extensive experience with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V in a clustered enterprise environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory (AD), Azure AD/Entra ID, and Group Policy Object (GPO) management within a secure Department of Defense (DoD) framework.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating system administration tasks and configuration management.
• Experience managing and maintaining Storage Area Networks (SAN) or Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC).
• Familiarity with STIG compliance and the use of ACAS for vulnerability scanning.
• Experience with Hybrid Cloud environments and migrating legacy on-premises workloads to Azure Government or AWS GovCloud.
• Prior experience supporting theater-level network operations centers.  
Work Environment
• Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
• May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
