As our Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and improving the reliability, security, and performance of our IT environment. You will take ownership of Windows administration, identity and access management (Entra ID), endpoint management (Intune), security controls, and core networking services, while also supporting key cloud services across AWS and Microsoft (Azure/Microsoft 365). You will work closely with business teams and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, secure, and scalable solutions, and you will help implement well-architected designs across our distributed systems.
What will you be doing:
Administer and support Windows environments, including system configuration, patching, hardening, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Own identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID, including user lifecycle management, security best practices, and access governance
Implement and manage endpoint administration using Microsoft Intune, with proven expertise in Intune policy design and deployment (device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, security baselines)
Implement and maintain Conditional Access and identity security controls to protect users, devices, and company data.
Implement and maintain and troubleshoot core services such as DNS and DHCP, and support networking needs including routing/firewalls/VPN connectivity as required
Support Windows and Linux systems in production environments (accounts, permissions, OS configuration, updates, monitoring)
Support and maintain cloud infrastructure tasks in AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and Lambda
Apply well-architected principles to improve security, availability, operational excellence, and cost awareness across systems and cloud services
Build and maintain automation using PowerShell (primary) and Python (secondary) to improve consistency and reduce manual tasks
Participate in incident response and problem management, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement aligned to SLAs/OLAs
Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to ensure smooth and repeatable IT operations
Explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
In order to be successful, you bring:
Strong experience in Windows System Administration, including security hardening and operational support
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and modern cloud-first identity management
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including policy design, deployment, and compliance management
Working experience with Microsoft 365 security capabilities, including Conditional Access and identity services
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS/DHCP, and practical understanding of firewalls/VPN connectivity
Experience supporting Linux environments in production
Hands-on exposure to AWS systems administration or engineering, including services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Cloud Front, WAF, VPC and Lambda
Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell and Python
Ability to understand business and end-user needs and translate them into effective, secure technical solutions
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
Experience designing and implementing well-architected solutions in distributed systems and cloud architectures
