Senior System Engineer in SOC

Purpose

The Senior Security Engineer will play a critical role in the Security Operation Center (SOC) by providing advanced support and fine-tuning of SOC sub-systems. This position focuses on specialized areas of SOC system administration, beyond standard hardware and software support provided by other teams within DT Technik. The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing various components, including Spark environments, Kafka and Logstash architectures, RAID configurations, and backing up SIEM configurations. Infrastructure configuration implementation will be managed through a CI/CD environment, requiring expertise in IT automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

• Administer and maintain SOC sub-systems, including Spark environment updates and optimizations.
• Optimize Kafka and Logstash architecture for enhanced performance and security.
• Configure RAID systems and manage backups of SIEM configurations.
• Implement infrastructure configurations using CI/CD tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SOC systems.
• Conduct regular system audits and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency.

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

Have a knowledge in:

• Network configuration
• Knowledge in Windows and Linux Administration (Solid understanding of NFS and GNU )
• Experience with Elastic Stack, specifically Logstash configuration and TLS certificates.
• Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools.
• Expertise in RAID configuration using StorCLI.
• Knowledge of Kafka including Apache Zeppelin 
• Experience in IT automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet.

Language:

• English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 2500 € /brutto.
