Job Description
The Company You’ll Join: It is our mission to create an exceptional firm that betters the world of work. Through granular candidate insights, in-depth employer benchmarking, continuous market pulses, actionable strategies, and recruiting feedback platforms, the team at Veris Insights is advancing the way companies across North America approach recruiting, employer branding, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), and talent management. We work with hundreds of Fortune 1000 organizations to help them solve their hardest talent challenges and it is our aspiration to be nothing less than the single, unequivocal best partner to every one of these leaders in that pursuit.
The Team You’ll Join: Veris Insights’ University Recruiting Syndicated Research function develops data-driven insights that help talent leaders navigate the early career recruiting landscape. Our work informs how leading employers attract, engage, and hire early career talent through large-scale survey research paired with practical, strategic analysis.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will own our student research workstream. Student Pulse is a monthly survey program that powers a portfolio of high-engagement studies used widely by our members. These studies run continuously throughout the year, with rotating survey modules aligned to quarterly priorities with outputs delivered through dashboards and executive-ready reports. Your role is to ensure this system runs with precision while continuing to evolve thoughtfully over time.
This is a researcher-first role with direct people management responsibility. You will lead the design, execution, and output of these studies end-to-end, while guiding a mid-career researcher in producing high-quality work across survey design, analysis, and deliverables. You are accountable for the quality and consistency of all outputs, ensuring they reflect clear, insight-driven narratives and an exceptionally high bar for execution.
How You’ll Grow: In this role, you will take full ownership of a scaled research product, building expertise across the entire lifecycle from survey design through final deliverables. You’ll strengthen your ability to translate data into clear points of view and deliver high-quality outputs at scale.
You’ll partner with the Director of UR Research to align on priorities and direction, while owning execution independently. Growth in this role comes from building a system that runs with consistency and continuously improving it over time.
As you build stability within Student Pulse, you will expand your scope to help shape how our student panel evolves, contributing to how we improve engagement, maintain representativeness, and strengthen research quality.
You will also grow as a people leader through direct management of a mid-career researcher supporting Student Pulse, developing your ability to guide execution, provide feedback, and uphold a high bar for quality.
Who You Are:
•
Research Owner. You design and execute survey-based research end-to-end, from writing strong surveys to interpreting data and forming clear points of view.
•
Strong Operator. You bring structure and discipline to recurring work, managing multiple studies with consistency, attention to detail, and high-quality execution.
•
Analytical Storyteller. You translate data into insight, building clear, structured narratives and polished, client-ready deliverables.
•
Quality-Driven. You hold a high bar for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, with a focus on delivering zero-defect outputs.
•
Practical Leader. You bring strong research judgment and effectively guide others, supporting high-quality execution while developing more junior researchers.
Key Responsibilities: Product Ownership & Continuous Improvement:
• Own the end-to-end Student Pulse survey workstream, ensuring it runs efficiently and delivers high-quality outputs at scale.
• Manage timelines, workflows, and coordination across a multi-study research portfolio.
• Maintain consistency across studies while evolving content to reflect new questions and priorities.
• Identify and implement incremental improvements to survey design, workflows, and output quality.
Key Responsibilities: Survey Design & Execution:
• Design and refine surveys in Qualtrics, including question development, logic, and structure.
• Own survey fielding strategy, including rotating modules aligned to quarterly priorities.
• Ensure data integrity through strong survey design and proactive quality checks.
• Oversee data validation and QA processes to maintain accuracy across all datasets.
Key Responsibilities: Student Insights Delivery:
• Lead the development of Student Pulse deliverables, including quarterly reports and additional topic-specific deliverables.
• Maintain a high standard of data accuracy and quality, ensuring analysis and related outputs are free of errors and inconsistencies.
• Translate data into clear, insight-driven narratives with a strong point of view.
• Build and review executive-ready reports, dashboards, and thematic deep dives.
Key Responsibilities: People Management:
• Manage and develop one mid-career researcher supporting Student Pulse, guiding execution across survey design, analysis, and deliverables.
• Ensure strong accountability and quality across all workstreams.
The Requirements::
• 5-7 years of experience in market research or consulting, preferably with HR or talent topics.
• Strong survey design experience, including question development, sampling, and data quality management. Experience with Qualtrics preferred.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills, with proficiency in tools such as SPSS, SAS, Excel, or DisplayR.
• Proven ability to manage multiple research projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing or mentoring early or mid-career researchers.
• Experience guiding qualitative research and integrating insights into findings.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to build clear, structured deliverables. Canva is a plus.
• Strong ability to translate data into clear narratives and insights.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and improving processes at scale.
The Compensation & Benefits Package::
• Salary: $92,500 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience
• Location: Remote-first within the U.S., with occasional travel to Washington, DC for in-person collaboration, team off-sites, or strategic planning
• Time Off: Unlimited PTO, plus monthly mental health days
• Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus a $1,000 annual wellness stipend
• Retirement: 401(k) with up to 4% employer match
• Family Support: Paid parental leave
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider OPT/CPT holders.
Please keep in mind: Research has shown that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds only apply to jobs when they meet 100% of the requirements vs. their majority counterparts, which apply at a much higher rate if they meet 50-60% of the requirements. So, with that being said, if you are interested in the role, we would love to hear how you can leverage your talents to be an awesome culture add.
