Location: Worthing, West Sussex-Complex Care Service
Salary: £14.75 per hour (Reviewed Annually)
Hours: 36 hours per week (Days)
Contract: Permanent
Requirement: Driving licence required (automatic, held 1+ year)
Lead and Inspire as a Senior Support Worker!
Join SDR as a Senior Support Worker and provide expert, person-centred support to a warm and affectionate young individual who loves building genuine connections, sharing jokes, having fun, and celebrating their successes. They have autism, a learning disability, and mental health conditions, including psychosis, which can cause high anxiety and vivid hallucinations. Your role as a Senior Support Worker will require patience, strong leadership, and a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead a team of Support Workers, ensuring consistent, high-quality care.
The individual you'll be supporting, enjoys:
Music & dancing
Long drives & cars
Cooking & bowling
Cinema trips
You will help them develop independence, confidence, and self-worth, and drive the service user’s vehicle for community activities where required.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver consistent, person-centred care as a Senior Support Worker
Lead, mentor, and support Support Workers in their daily roles
Ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care is maintained
Promote independence and meaningful experiences for the individual
Drive safely for community outings and appointments
Support staff development and ongoing training
Who We’re Looking For
Experienced in supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions
Leadership experience as a Senior Support Worker or equivalent role
Creative, resilient, and committed to delivering high-quality care
Confident driving for day activities
Strong communication, mentoring, and teamwork skills
