Job Description
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will lead the implementation and use of EDI with suppliers, drive our supplier compliance programs, and ensure that these capabilities improve supply chain efficiencies. There are also day-to-day responsibilities of inbound and outbound EDI transmissions. This role will be accountable for identifying new opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. They will also perform a variety of analytical tasks related to monitoring trends and determining adherence in our vendor performance, as well as work together with the vendors and partnering teams in order to improve the vendors’ on-time and in-full fill rates; this will directly contribute to optimized inventory levels, an improved service level to our stores, reduce lost sales due to out of stock, and lower supply chain expenses.
Essential Duties
• Handle day-to-day vendor compliance tasks (e-mails, charge review, reporting)
• Partner with vendors, merchants, and inventory planning teams to address process changes
and improve vendor performance.
• Responsible for increasing receiving productivity and reducing problem freight.
• Develop other Pet Super market associates to become proficient in EDI document handling.
Experience & Education
• 3-5 years of EDI experience with solid knowledge of the following documents: 850, 855, 856, 860, 810, 812, 820.
• Advanced English level (B2+/C1).
• Previous experience using a third-party EDI provider.
• Experience troubleshooting EDI errors (missing/invalid EDI segments, for example).
• Basic knowledge of data management/integrity.
• Previous experience with retail product flow is a plus.
• Experience in vendor compliance or vendor management in the retail sector is a plus.
• Experience with data analysis, KPI development, or report building is a plus
Technical Skills.
• High level of organization.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills.
• Able to influence across multiple internal teams to ensure actions are executed.
• Able to build and maintain good working relationships with vendors.
• Ability to analyze and derive actionable insights from large data sets is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL, AS400, or Tableau is a plus.
