Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Storage Engineer with specialized expertise in Pure Storage FlashArrays and Dell ECS Object Storage technologies to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing enterprise storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Pure Storage and Dell ECS environments, possess a deep understanding of modern storage technologies, and demonstrate the ability to align storage architecture with business requirements while ensuring optimal performance, availability, and data protection

Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage Pure Storage FlashArray solutions, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Dell ECS Object Storage environments for various enterprise workloads
• Develop storage architecture roadmaps and migration strategies aligned with organizational needs
• Implement storage tiering strategies that leverage both high-performance flash storage and object storage capabilities
• Monitor storage system health, performance, and capacity utilization across all environments
• Lead the operations of enterprise/cloud storage infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex storage-related issues and implement permanent resolutions
• Design and implement robust data protection, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
• Establish and maintain storage best practices, procedures, and documentation
• Execute storage infrastructure upgrades and expansions with minimal business impact
• Collaborate with application teams to understand storage requirements and provide appropriate solutions
• Provide technical mentorship to junior storage engineers
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for critical storage infrastructure support

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in storage engineering roles
• Minimum3+ years of hands-on experience with Pure Storage FlashArray technologies
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with Dell ECS Object Storage or similar object storage platforms
• Strong knowledge of storage concepts, protocols, and technologies (FC, iSCSI, NVMEover TCP, NFS, SMB, S3, Swift)
• Experience with storage virtualization, thin provisioning, deduplication, and compression
• Proficiency in storage performance analysis, optimization, and capacity planning
• Experience implementing and managing data protection and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong understanding of enterprise backup solutions and methodologies
• Pure Storage certification (Pure Storage Associate or Professional) preferred
• Understanding of containerized workloads and their storage requirements
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience working in regulated or high-availability environments

Additional skills (Nice to have):
• Experience with additional storage platforms (Dell, NetApp, HPE, IBM, etc.)
• Experience with automating storage management tasks using scripting/APIs
• Knowledge of cloud storage solutions
• Familiarity with storage orchestration and automation frameworks
• Experience with VMware/OpenStack and storage integration
• Knowledge of data migration tools and methodologies
• Experience with software-defined storage solutions
• Familiarity with storage performance testing and analysis tools
• Background in database storage optimization (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
• Experience with data governance and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of data lifecycle management and information lifecycle management
• CI/CD experience related to infrastructure as code for storage
