We’re looking for a passionate and highly skilled Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) to join a busy and supportive team delivering comprehensive women’s health services in beautiful Central Queensland.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership-level position within a well-integrated hospital and health service, renowned for its team-based, networked approach to care across the region.

You’ll work in a progressive health service that takes a coordinated, regional approach to O&G – providing high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse community.
The department supports a full range of Obstetrics and Gynaecology services, including antenatal and postnatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, general gynaecology, advanced laparoscopic procedures, and fertility investigations.
You’ll also play a pivotal role in teaching, mentoring junior staff and registrars, and contributing to service improvement and innovation. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to shape the future of women’s health in a fast-growing region.
What You’ll Bring:
• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Fellowship of RANZCOG (or equivalent) and registration (or eligibility) as a Specialist with AHPRA
• Proven clinical leadership and a strong commitment to collaborative, team-based care
• A passion for teaching, service development, and continuous improvement
• Adaptability and resilience – we value innovative thinkers who thrive in a regional setting
What’s On Offer:
• Total remuneration up to $483,588 p.a., depending on experience (L18–L27)
• Attractive salary range:
• $210,332 – $244,313 (L18–L24)
• $251,527 – $266,677 (L25–L27)
• 12.75% employer superannuation
