About the Opportunity

The OKX DEX-SWAP team is building the future of multi-chain trading with a mission to make decentralized trading seamless, efficient, and accessible to all. As a one-stop aggregated trading platform, OKX DEX-SWAP empowers users to easily discover and trade any token across multiple blockchains, all while securing the best liquidity and prices available on-chain. We leverage intelligent routing algorithms to automatically compute the most efficient transaction paths across chains, ensuring users benefit from lower slippage, optimized fees, and faster execution. As part of this team, you’ll work on solving complex challenges in decentralized finance, while helping scale a platform that plays a critical role in OKX’s broader Web3 strategy. What You’ll Be Doing

• Participate in the backend development of blockchain-related services, including blockchain protocols, recommendation algorithms, and other core products within the blockchain ecosystem.

• Continuously optimize system architecture and performance to meet high standards of availability, reliability, and scalability.

• Identify opportunities for service and infrastructure optimization, driving improvements in engineering efficiency and system robustness.

• Work closely with product and business teams to deeply understand requirements, and deliver solutions through functional design, architectural optimization, and hands-on R&D.

• Tackle complex technical challenges and provide guidance on system design best practices to elevate the overall technical capability of the team.

What We Look For In You

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or a strong STEM education background)

• 6+ years of extensive professional experience designing, building, and operating high-performance, systems in Java, with a deep understanding of the JVM, IO, multithreading, concurrency, networking, and solid grasp of object-oriented design principles including encapsulation and abstraction.

• Proficient in mainstream Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.

• Experience in large-scale project development and application architecture design is highly preferred, especially in high-performance, distributed system environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design, build, and optimize robust backend systems.

• Passion for clean, scalable, and maintainable code, with a continuous drive to improve system performance and reliability.

• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in both English and Mandarin to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional team members.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with Python, Golang, TypeScript, Rust, or Graph technologies is a plus.

• Exposure to blockchain smart contracts or experience developing decentralized applications (dApps).

• Understanding of major blockchain platforms such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Hyperledger, or similar.

• Interest and hands-on experience with public chain ecosystems like Uniswap, AAVE, or other DeFi and Web3 protocols.

• Strong logical and analytical thinking, with an agile mindset, excellent learning ability, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
